By car
Most of our guests choose to drive to the chalet. is a great way to start though the ferries (including P & O, Stena, and Speedferries) offer a more leisurely (and bracing) alternative. The motorway route is about 585 miles from Calais with motorway/dual carriageway for all but the last 40 minutes.

By train: Eurostar run a sevice direct from Waterloo to Bourg St. Maurice every Friday night and Saturday morning. On other days you can take the Eurostar ro Lille, then catch a TGV direct to Bourg St. Maurice.

By plane: there are now a number of airports in the area (Geneva, Lyons, Grenoble, St. Etienne, Chambéry) which are used by various low cost airlines( Easyjet, Ryanair, Flybe). The drive time from these airports varies from 3 hours (St. Etienne) to 90 mins (Chambéry) All are serviced by coaches to take you to Bourg St. Maurice.Or you can hire a car.

Local directions: From Bourg St. Maurice take the Val d'Isère road to Ste. Foy. Just at the end of the village turn right to Villaroger. Go through the square at Villaroger and continue up the hill until you come to a restaurant, the 'Aiguille Rouge'. Park in the car park round the corner and take the path which runs below the restaurant. La Crème Anglaise is 30m along the path with a 'Gites de France' sign above the door.
